The AIESEC International Congress 2025, held in Sri Lanka, brought together hundreds of youth leaders, changemakers, and partners from across the world to exchange ideas, foster collaboration, and drive forward a shared mission: empowering young people to shape a more inclusive, sustainable, and impactful future.
As part of this global gathering, JCI proudly participated contributing to key discussions and experiences that spotlighted the critical role of youth in building a better world of work.
Shaping the Future of Work: A Panel on Youth Empowerment
JCI’s involvement included participation in a high-level panel discussion titled:“How youth can build a more inclusive, sustainable, and empowered world of work.”
The panel explored cross-cutting themes of Sustainability, Leadership, Diversity, and Employability, and featured representatives from:
Electrolux Food Foundation
UNIDO
TCS
UN Foundation
JCI’s contribution emphasized how sustainable leadership and youth-led innovation can serve as powerful levers for systemic change — particularly when partnerships and networks are aligned with purpose.

Workshop: Becoming a Sustainable Leader in Action
JCI also facilitated an interactive workshop titled “Becoming a Sustainable Leader in Action.”Participants were guided through an engaging journey of reflection and skill-building focused on internalizing key leadership mindsets and exploring practical tools for creating long-term impact.
This session aimed to help young leaders understand what it truly means to lead with intention, resilience, and sustainability in an ever-evolving world.
A Milestone in Collaboration: Renewing the JCI–AIESEC Partnership
One of the most meaningful moments of the Congress was the renewal of the strategic partnership between JCI and AIESEC for another five years. This renewed commitment solidifies our shared vision of fostering youth leadership, global cooperation, and sustainable development.
“We’re excited to continue building with AIESEC — not only as a partner but as a fellow movement empowering youth to act as global changemakers,” said Nathalia Cardenas, JCI Partnerships Manager.
A special thanks goes to Kenneth Gamboa and Paulina Ávila from AIESEC for their incredible work in making this collaboration possible and for their deep belief in the power of partnership to drive impact.
Looking Ahead
The Congress in Sri Lanka reminded all participants that the energy, creativity, and commitment of youth are not only vital for the future — they are shaping change now.
As JCI looks ahead, we remain committed to strengthening cross-sector collaboration, amplifying youth voices, and investing in the leaders of tomorrow — today.
