Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia | 20-21 May 2026 – Junior Chamber International (JCI) participated in the ICC World Chambers Federation (WCF) Americas Summit, reaffirming its strong partnership with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and its shared commitment to advancing youth leadership, entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth across the Americas.

Hosted in Santa Cruz de la Sierra by the ICC World Chambers Federation in collaboration with CAINCO, the two-day Summit convened chambers of commerce, MSME leaders, policymakers and strategic partners from across the region to strengthen MSME competitiveness and foster practical regional cooperation.

Positioning micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) as drivers of inclusive, innovation-led and sustainable growth, the Summit focused on three key areas: access to regional and global markets, digital transformation, and sustainable and inclusive development. Through high-level discussions, interactive sessions and regional exchanges, participants explored solutions to shared challenges while building stronger connections across the region’s business ecosystem.

One of the highlights of the Summit was the Gala Dinner and official closing ceremony, during which JCI received the Youth Leadership Development recognition in acknowledgment of its global efforts to empower young people through leadership development, entrepreneurship and active citizenship.

JCI Vice President assigned to the America Andreia Conte accepted the recognition on behalf of the organization, representing the collective impact of JCI members worldwide who continue to create sustainable change within their communities and beyond.

JCI also contributed to the Summit’s discussions through its participation in the panel session titled “Women and Youth-led MSMEs: Building the Next Wave of Regional Champions.” Representing JCI on the panel was JCI Executive Director Luis Lane, who joined international leaders and experts to discuss initiatives that support women entrepreneurs, youth-led businesses and inclusive networks across the Americas.

During the discussion, Luis Lane highlighted the importance of equipping young entrepreneurs with leadership opportunities, global networks and practical tools that enable them to scale their impact and contribute to resilient economies. He also emphasized the value of cross-sector collaboration in preparing the next generation of regional leaders and changemakers.

JCI’s presence at the ICC WCF Americas Summit reflects the continued strength of its partnership with ICC. Through ongoing collaboration, both organizations continue working to support entrepreneurship, women’s economic empowerment, youth engagement, sustainable business practices and the internationalization of MSMEs.

The recognition received in Santa Cruz stands as an important acknowledgment of JCI’s impact and a powerful reminder of the essential role young leaders play in building a more inclusive, innovative and sustainable future.
