6 March - A milestone moment unfolded for global youth leadership as JCI leaders took a powerful step forward in championing sustainable development.
Executive Vice President Ben Mak and Secretary General Elvin Teo traveled to Bangkok for a landmark visit to the headquarters of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP). This recent engagement highlighted the vital role JCI plays, both at the global and national levels, in connecting emerging leaders with international platforms that drive the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

A Vision for Sustainable Impact
Standing alongside the iconic SDG installations at the ESCAP headquarters, the visit symbolized a unified vision: young leaders working hand-in-hand with global partners to create lasting impact. During the visit, JCI leaders engaged deeply with international partners to:
Exchange Insights: Share perspectives on community-driven solutions and youth-led initiatives.
Strengthen Cooperation: Explore new pathways to empower young people to tackle shared challenges.
Drive the Global Goals: Align local, grassroots efforts with the broader objectives of the UN's 2030 Agenda.

The Power of the JCI Network
This meaningful exchange was made possible through the instrumental support of JCI Thailand National Board, whose presence perfectly facilitated the dialogue. Their involvement demonstrated a strong, localized commitment to building partnerships that elevate youth leadership across the region.
Secretary General Elvin Teo, represented our global operations, reinforcing the organization’s overarching dedication to fostering enduring collaborations between young leaders and global institutions. Through ongoing partnerships, open dialogue, and decisive action, JCI continues to empower driven young leaders to take massive, global goals and turn them into meaningful change within their own communities.
