KUALA LUMPUR — JCI (Junior Chamber International) and the SDG Academy are stepping up to bridge the gap between education and impact.
Following a successful pilot in 2025, leadership from both organizations met at Sunway University on January 7, 2026, to finalize a transformative “Plan of Action” to equip the next generation of leaders with the academic rigor and practical skills needed to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs).
From Classroom to Community: The 2026 Strategy
This partnership is designed to bridge the gap between high-level sustainability theory and measurable, grassroots action. By seamlessly integrating the SDG Academy’s world-class curriculum into JCI’s global network, this collaboration delivers three core pillars of impact:
Building Global Expertise: We are launching an elite "Train-the-Trainer" program on February 22, 2026, to cultivate a global cadre of certified sustainability experts.

Accessible Digital Learning: Advanced modules on Scaling Impact and Measuring Sustainable Development will be made available on-demand through JCI’s new digital learning ecosystem.
In-Person Impact Series: Introducing “Steps for a Better Tomorrow: Managing SDGs”, a specialized physical training workshop that will be rolled out across all 2026 JCI Area Conferences. This initiative ensures that sustainability strategies are not just learned online, but actively implemented in every region.
Why This Matters Now
Sustainability is no longer a "buzzword", it is a professional necessity. By combining JCI’s "boots-on-the-ground" approach with the SDG Academy’s expertise, this partnership ensures that young leaders aren't just passionate; they are qualified. This partnership is creating a clear pathway for young people to become certified experts who don't just talk about the future, they build it.
