The JCI Crocodile Foundation partnership marks a new milestone for Junior Chamber International (JCI) as it strengthens its mission to create sustainable impact through collaboration, leadership, and community empowerment.
The Crocodile Foundation, founded in 2015 by the late JCI Senator Dato’ Dr. Tan Hian Tsin, has spent the past decade improving lives through education, community development, and humanitarian relief. Through this partnership, JCI and the Crocodile Foundation are working together to build a future where opportunity is within everyone’s reach.
A Shared Vision for Change
This groundbreaking JCI Crocodile Foundation partnership will launch the JCI – Crocodile Foundation SDG Community Grant in 2026 that will provide funding to local JCI organizations developing innovative community projects. The program will support initiatives focused on education, livelihood, health, and environmental protection.
“We share one vision: a world where leadership uplifts people and opportunity is within everyone’s reach,” said 2025 JCI President Keisuke Shimoyamada. “Through this collaboration, we can expand impact projects, strengthen communities, and bring hope to those who need it most.”
The initiative aligns with JCI’s global commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in advancing quality education, decent work and economic growth, and sustainable communities.
Blending Compassion, Purpose, and Action
At its core, the JCI Crocodile Foundation partnership shows how compassion and purpose can drive meaningful action. The Crocodile Foundation’s expertise in humanitarian aid and educational development complements JCI’s worldwide network of young leaders who are dedicated to active citizenship.
“This collaboration is about more than funding,” 2025 JCI President Keisuke Shimoyamada explained. “It is about connecting people who believe that progress becomes unstoppable when we work together.”
The Crocodile Foundation Chairperson shared the same optimism:
“We are proud to collaborate with JCI in funding community projects that nurture future leaders and improve the quality of life in the countries we serve.”
Expanding JCI’s Global Impact
The partnership builds upon the ongoing efforts of the JCI Foundation, which supports programs that cultivate leadership and social innovation. By combining the Crocodile Foundation’s charitable expertise with JCI’s global reach, the collaboration increases the organization’s capacity to deliver long-term, measurable impact across more than 100 countries.
It also supports JCI’s strategic direction for its 110th anniversary, focusing on partnerships that accelerate sustainable progress and empower members to act for a better world.
“When we lead with heart and collaborate with purpose, progress is not just possible—it becomes unstoppable,” 2025 JCI President Keisuke Shimoyamada said.
Building a Better Future Together
Through the JCI Crocodile Foundation partnership, both organizations are paving the way for a new era of community empowerment. The partnership embodies JCI’s belief that young people have the power to transform their communities through innovation, collaboration, and leadership.
By investing in grassroots initiatives and empowering members to act locally, JCI and the Crocodile Foundation are turning compassion into sustainable impact—one project, one leader, and one community at a time.
